Ryan Haggarty, Ph.D
I received my B.A. in psychology from the University of Rhode Island and my Ph.D. in clinical Psychology from Suffolk University (Boston, MA). During my graduate school training I completed a practicum and year-long clinical internship at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital (Bedford, MA). Working with our veterans allowed me to gain specialized training in the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I was fortunate to complete a Postdoctoral Fellowship for Brown University’s Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (Clinical Psychology Training Consortium). During this Fellowship I gained valuable experience working within primary care settings, as well as working with couples, families, and diverse populations. I do adopt a mainly cognitive-behavioral approach to therapy and consider my general areas of expertise to be depression and anxiety.
