Bob Goldblatt, Ph.D.
Dr. Goldblatt comes to Plaza Psychiatry and Psychology after a distinguished career of 37 years in the medical school and in the school of health professions at a New York University. He received his doctorate at the University of Connecticut. His research exploring neuro-cognitive potentials with Art Therapy and Parkinson’s disease and conflict has resulted in many publications and presentations at national and international conferences. He is an enthusiastic and positive psychotherapist, researcher, instructor, and mentor.
Dr. Goldblatt has clinical expertise with adults dealing with medical and related psychological issues, and has worked throughout his career advancing technologies delivering psychotherapeutic services. Currently in addition to seeing patients in our Woonsocket and East Greenwich offices, he is using tele-psychology conferencing systems for patients unable to travel because of distance or physical disease. As a psychologist, his focus is on an individual’s life challenges and finding solutions to cope better and find positive adaptive changes. He works with all adults and has particular interests with young adults, Parkinson’s disease, aging, and caregivers.
